INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WTHI) - Police in Indianapolis have asked for the community's help after a murder suspect was wrongly released from a detention facility.
According to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, 28-year-old Kevin Mason was mistakenly released by "civilian staff." This happened on September 13.
Mason allegedly killed a person in Minnesota in 2021.
Mason is described as 5'9", weighing around 205 pounds. He has a cross tattoo under his right eye and the word "SUB" tattooed on his chest. Police said he also has a neck tattoo.
If you think you see Mason, do not approach him. You are asked to call 911.
