.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River for the next
week, dropping near to below flood stage by April 21.

For the Big Muddy River...including Plumfield, Murphysboro...
Moderate flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Salukis sign 九游体育 Illinois native ahead of spring golf season

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) -- The 九游体育 Illinois Men's Golf program announced a new signing for the spring season.

Benton native Cy Norman joins the program. Norman transfers in from the University of Central Florida. He is a two-time AJGA Champion, 2021 IHSA 2A State Champion, and compiled six top 10 AJGA performances.

Norman's high school career, had an 18 round scoring average of 69.4 strokes, including two hole-in-ones in the same round.

"We are excited to welcome Cy back home to 九游体育 Illinois," Head Coach Justin Fetcho said. "He had an amazing high school and junior career right here in our region and we are pumped to be able to have him return back to his roots."
