...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
SUNDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...All of southeast Missouri, southern Illinois, southwest
Indiana, and western Kentucky.

* WHEN...From Wednesday afternoon through Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Extensive street
flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Multiple rounds of locally heavy rainfall over several days
will result in extreme forecast amounts of up to 1 foot of
rain that will cause the risk of flash flooding and flooding
to rise markedly and create a particularly dangerous flooding
situation.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor later forecasts and be alert for Flash Flood and Flood
Warnings. Be prepared to take action when flooding develops as this
will be a particularly dangerous situation.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...From 7 AM CDT /8 AM EDT/ Wednesday to midnight CDT /1 AM
EDT/ Wednesday Night.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Suspects arrested in weekend Carbondale shooting

Carbondale shooting suspects

CARBONDALE (WSIL) -- Two people are in custody in connection to a shooting in Carbondale on Sunday. 

On Sunday, March 20, around 3 p.m. officers responded to the 500 block of East Main Street for a shots fired call. When officers arrived, they found a gunshot victim and began life-saving aid. 

That victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. 

18-year-old Zoremoreyon J.S. Moore of Marion and 19-year-old McKenzie A. Timms of Carbondale were located and arrested. 

Moore is charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated discharge of a firearm. Timms is facing charges of concealing or aiding a fugitive and resisting a peace officer. 

The investigation is still active and ongoing.
