CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) -- Another beautiful sunny Sunday in the books with above average temperatures!
Sunday evening: Temperatures into the upper 60's and lower 70's will dip back into the lower to mid 50's. Partly cloudy sky increasing to mostly cloudy. Winds from the SE 5-10mph and increasing significantly into early Monday morning. A few areas of patchy fog may form in the low valley areas, but any gusty winds will allow for that to diminish. If you're lucky and have clear enough sky, you may be able to use long-exposure on your camera to see the northern lights.聽
You'll want to be away from light pollution, clouds and look north!聽

Monday: Morning lows into the lower to mid 50's with afternoon highs rising into the upper 60's and lower 70's. Mostly cloudy with winds from the SW 10-15mph gusting up to 35mph at times. A very breezy day ahead. High-profiled vehicles may have some swaying to do on their route with winds like those!聽
Going into the evening hours winds from the SW could still gust upwards of 20mph at times. This would make for HAZARDOUS burning conditions. A mix of dry conditions and gusty winds could send a fire further than its intended ring or pit.聽
Tuesday: Morning lows into the mid to upper 50's with afternoon highs rising into the lower to mid 70's. Mostly cloudy start to the day for some, eventually clearing out towards the early afternoon. Winds from the SW gusting up to 20mph at times, another breezy day ahead.聽
A few chances of showers look to work into the forecast for Wednesday into Friday.聽
