...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Plumfield and near Murphysboro

.Moderate to major flooding continues along the Big Muddy River. At
Plumfield, the river is now forecast to crest in moderate flood
stage near 28.5 feet Friday morning. At Murphysboro, the river has
crested and started a very slow fall.

For the Big Muddy River...including Plumfield, Murphysboro...
Moderate to Major flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

forecast.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 28.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 28.5
feet Friday morning.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) 

Tuesday: Mostly sunny morning, passing clouds by noon. High: 89, low 70.

Wednesday: Early morning showers expected to last through the afternoon and evening. A break into early Thursday morning is expected. High, 83. Low 64.

Thursday: Showers and storms continue into Thursday morning and noon. High: 78, low 58. 

Once the cold front passes morning temperatures will be able to dip into the mid 50's the rest of the week. It will be cooler and dry going into the weekend.
