...FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT CDT /1 AM EDT/ TONIGHT TO
9 AM CDT /10 AM EDT/ TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 25 to 30 degrees
expected over most of the region. Everyone should see a 32 degree
low or close to it.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...From midnight CDT /1 AM EDT/ tonight to 9 AM CDT /10 AM
EDT/ Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Murphysboro affecting Jackson County.

Big Muddy River near Plumfield affecting Williamson and Franklin
Counties.

.Heavy rainfall has ended across the area. The Big Muddy River is
continuing to rise and crests are expected over the next week.

For the Big Muddy River...including Plumfield, Murphysboro...Major
flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

forecast.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 34.0 feet, Many surrounding homes begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 25.7 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:30 PM CDT Sunday was 25.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 32.4
feet Wednesday morning.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Chick-fil-A begins hiring in Marion ahead of Fall opening

MARION, Ill. -- The under-construction Chick-fil-A in Marion has begun the hiring process and is now beginning to introduce the community to some of its leaders. 

The Marion location of the chicken phenomenon started an official page in August to begin to build hype for the restaurant. So far, the main excitement brought to the page have been regarding managers in charge at the location. 

The new franchise location will be owned and operated by 7-year Chick-fil-A employee Dave Wachter. Wachter previously lived in Switzerland and was a college athlete in golf and soccer at Anderson University. 

Kendall Wachter, meanwhile, has been named the Front of House Director and Training Coordinator. She has been with Chick-fil-A for about seven years as well across 12 states. Kendall also served as a Personal Trainer and competed in a fitness competition. 

Also recently announced, Joe and Savannah Coleman will take roles as the Managing partner and a Back of House Team Member, respectively.
