City of Sikeston Issues Curfew After Storm Causes Damage to Buildings

SIKESTON, Mo. -- The City of Sikeston issued a curfew after a storm swept through on Sunday morning, causing damage throughout parts of the community.

The public was alerted of the curfew by the city on Sunday afternoon. The curfew is in effect for the city limits of Sikeston from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The curfew will be strictly enforced, according to the alert.

Sikeston was hit by a storm which caused significant damage to buildings and trees along E. Malone Avenue and on S. Ingram Road. Other communities were impacted by the storm as well.

Another round of storms is forecasted to come through the area on Sunday evening.
