Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

- At 9:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 22.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday morning and continue falling to 14.0 feet Friday,
April 25.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Commercial Vehicle Crash closes US Highway 60 in Ballard County

BALLARD COUNTY, Ky. -- A car crash shut down US Highway 60 in Ballard County Friday morning. 

The Ballard County Emergency Management Agency alerted drivers to the closure right after 3:00 a.m. This information cited a Commercial Vehicle Accident for the closure. A picture provided from the agency showed a vehicle flipped onto its side/top splayed across the road. 

The Emergency Agency said the crash occurred in Wickliffe near the intersection of Borden Road and US 60. 

The initial closure was estimated to last two hours, but officials say delays should be expected through the morning.
