SIKESTON, Mo. -- A stretch of I-55 will see reduced access beginning Monday.听
The southbound side of the highway will see a shoulder reduction from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. beginning Monday. MoDOT reminds drivers this could change based on the weather in the area.听
Below is an outline of which portions of the interstate will be affected and when:听
- Monday, Jan. 22 - Thursday, Jan. 25听--- mile marker 157 to mile marker 100.2, in Ste. Genevieve, Perry, and Cape Girardeau County Monday, Jan. 29 - Thursday,听Feb. 1 --- mile marker 102.8 to mile marker 94.2, in听Cape Girardeau County
- Monday,听Feb. 5 - Thursday, Feb. 8 --- mile marker听96 to mile marker听67.6 in Cape Girardeau and Scott Counties.
During these times, crews will be on-site to install new signs depicting the right-of-way for drivers. Closures will be marked with signs, but drivers are urged to use caution when taking this route.听
