GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. -- Officials arrested two people after Fentanyl reportedly turned up in their apartment.Â
The Graves County Sheriff's Office heard tips that a rental unit on Windhaven Court was a spot for trafficking of the drug. Deputies obtained a search warrant to check the residence.Â
On Wednesday, July 3, authorities executed the warrant. Residents Christopher L. Lester, 33, of Paducah, and Shayla M. Harper, 26, of Mayfield, were found inside the home. Deputies say "numerous dosage units" of Fentanyl were uncovered alongside synthetic Marijuana and Marijuana.Â
Both suspects reportedly had active arrest warrants against them out of McCracken County for bond violations at the time of the arrest.Â
A press release from the Graves County Sheriff's Office detailed the pair's situation further.
The department says Lester was out on bond for prior trafficking and possession. He faced three charges for Fentanyl pending court dates before this catch and was found shoplifting in Graves County on June 20. Plus, Lester has received convictions of crimes while on bond before.Â
Harper, meanwhile, reportedly was on bond in Graves and McCracken County for drug charges.Â
Authorities sent Lester and Harter to out-of-county detention centers.Â
