POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Students at Three Rivers College are celebrating as all 55 students who recently completed exams have passed to achieve registered nurse status.

The college announced the 100% success rate of its students in a press release Wednesday morning. All students who took the required NCLECX-RN or NCLEX-PN exam this past fall scored well enough to pass.

“This is the first time Three Rivers students have achieved this incredible milestone. They faced many challenges, said Three Rivers Director of Nursing Laura McElroy. “Their success is nothing short of amazing.

The National Council of State Boards of Nursing says 69.66% of students who took the NCLEX-RN exam passed, while 74.54% of those who completed the NCLEX-PN passed.

“Our faculty take pride in making sure TRC students are fully prepared for licensure when they graduate, said Director of Practical Nursing Andrea Pierce. “Our students continued success is a tribute to their hard work and commitment.

Students can apply to Three Rivers' nursing programs online if they meet the required criteria. More information is available via McElroy at 573-840-9672 or Pierce at 573-840-9672.
