WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. -- The Williamson County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a report where a female was alleged to be armed with a knife and beating on the door of a home in the 300-block of East Jefferson Street in Creal Springs on February 11, at 12:34 p.m.
Once deputies got to the scene, they saw multiple people on the porch of the home. The sheriff's office reported Jessica N. Ford was suspected of partially hiding an 18" pipe under her dress and a knife was on the ground near her feet.
Deputies then tried to de-escalate the situation and were able to grab the knife from the porch. Residents reported to authorities they were afraid and locked Ford out of the home.
The sheriff's office said in a release that Ford "had recently been released from the Williamson County Jail and the residence was a protected address as a condition of her pretrial release for a previous charge of Domestic Battery."
Deputies told Ford she was under arrest and ordered her to put down the metal pipe and leave the porch, according to the sheriff's report.
At one point, Ford reportedly took the pipe and raised it above her head. Shortly thereafter, deputies used a taser on Ford which hit her in the lower abdomen and left thigh.
Deputies said they continued to battle it out with Ford for a few more minutes until she was eventually placed into the patrol car.Â
Deputies charged Ford with the following charges:
- Aggravated Battery to a Peace Officer
- Resisting or Obstructing a Peace Officer
- Violation of Conditions of Pretrial Release
Ford remains in custody in the Williamson County Jail.Â
