Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 817 AM CDT, Even though the heavy rain has ended, substantial flooding continues across much of the warned area. Between 5 and 9 inches of rain have fallen since the start of the event on Wednesday.
