CARBONDALE, IL (WSIL) -- A new movie theater is coming to Carbondale.
will open its doors inside the University Mall this Spring. The theater will take over the same space as the AMC Theater which shut down in 2018.
According to a press release VIP Cinemas is a family-owned, independent theater company with several locations throughout the country. The theater will offer shows daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and ticket and concession prices that are a fraction of what is typical for large-scale, first-run movie theaters. Daily shows before noon will include a free small popcorn with admission for just $5.49.
