Hourly Forecast

WSIL(Carterville, IL)-- This morning we are tracking very cold temperatures. A lot of us are waking up to temperatures that are in the single digits across the region. We are also seeing wind chills are feeling well below zero this morning, but there is no wind chills are not at Wind chill advisory levels like they have been the past few days.聽

This morning, we are tracking mostly clear skies and temperatures that will be in the teens. Winds will be out of the southwest at 15-17 miles per hour.聽

By lunchtime, temperatures will be in the mid 20s, and skies will still be sunny.聽 Highs this afternoon will be in the upper 20s to near 30. It won't be warm by any means, but it certainly won't be as cold as it has been the last few days. Skies will be mostly sunny through the afternoon.聽

This evening, we are tracking clear skies, and temperatures that will return to the low 20s by 9:00. Skies will grow more cloudy overnight.聽聽

Tomorrow we are tracking highs that will be in the lower 30s, and we could see temperatures get above freezing for the first time in nearly a week. However any temperatures that make it above freezing tomorrow will be short lived, as another cold front will work its way through the region and take our highs back to the low 20s and teen for highs Friday and Saturday, with overnight lows that could once again return to the single digits.聽

We also are tracking the possibility of a wintery mix tomorrow between late morning into early afternoon. We are not anticipating any major accumulations.聽

Thankfully, we should see highs return to the 50s next week.聽
