HERRIN, IL (WSIL) -- In this edition of WSIL Food Truck Feature, the owners of M.A’s Filipino Cuisine shared the authentic food their truck provides.

Maricris "Aicy" Munsell and Ronelita "Monette" Laird are the owners of food truck which specializes in fully authentic Filipino food. They use recipes that have been passed down through generations and have also created their own Filipino dishes.
Maricris Munsell whose nickname is "Aicy" is originally from the island of Leyte and made the move to the U.S., 9 years ago. Ronelita Laird whose nickname is "Monette" moved from the island Cebu, 13 years ago.
The two friends spent years dreaming and planning to open their own business and eventually made the leap in 2020 with M.A.s Filipino Cuisine food truck.

Munsell told the News 3 This morning crew how the duo came up with the name and how to pronounce it."The name itself is pronounced as if it were like "Grandma's" where people call it "Ma's kitchen" or "Ma's house" so we tried to play on that and our initials", said Munsell.
M.A.'s Filipino Cuisine currently serves Williamson and Franklin counties but does travel further for private events. They also offer catering, bulk orders, and on occasion, delivery.
