Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and will continue.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 23.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday morning and continue falling to 15.1 feet Thursday,
April 24.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Ex-SIU Running Back Javon Williams Jr. asking for your help to play pro football

CARBONDALE, IL (WSIL) -  Tonight we introduce you to a former Saluki football player who is asking for your help on his journey to reach his pro football dreams.

Running Back Javon Williams Jr. entered last year's NFL draft but went undrafted and failed to make a 53-man roster.

He made a recent Facebook post saying "Hey everyone I need a little support! This is my career film and I have a lot of football left in me and need an opportunity!! Please share this to anyone and everyone you can think of."

The link pulls up his highlights on his YouTube page from his time at SIU.

He's a fantastic player but just needs someone to give him a chance.

The Centralia native still lives in the region and works in Marion.

We reached out to Williams about his post. He tells News 3 Sports he is eager to show what he can do.
