(WSIL) -- There are three new nominees for this week's WSIL-Banterra Player of the Week.
Our first nominee is Carterville's Jeniah Thompson. Last week, Thompson became Carterville's all-time leading scorer and led the Lady Lions to the Elite 8 in class 2A.
Our second nominee is Benton's Reece Johnson. Johnson had a game high 19 points in a win over Murphysboro Friday. With the victory, Benton gets a three-way share of the ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Illinois River-to-River Ohio Division.
Our third nominee is Cobden's Joe Brumleve. Brumleve scored 28 and 20 points, respectively, in back-to-back wins for the Appleknockers. He helped Cobden go undefeated in the South Egyptian Conference.
The winner will be announced Thursday.
