Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Plumfield.

- At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 23.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday morning and continue falling to 15.1 feet Thursday,
April 24.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

SIU MBB falls on the road to Valpo 55-38

Valparaiso, IN (WSIL) -- Valparaiso knocked off ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Illinois 55-38 Wednesday night, giving the two two teams a split in the season series.

SIU won the January 7 matchup in Carbondale, 63-50.

The Salukis led 8-5, nearly four minutes into the game, but then the cold shooting woes started. SIU only managed 16 first half points.

For the game ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Illinois shot 23.6% and 17.9% from three-point range.

Eric McGill led the way for SIU with 13 points and 6 rebounds.

The Salukis are now 9-4 in the Missouri Conference and will face Bradley at home on Saturday at 1 PM.
