Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

- At 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 23.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday afternoon.

First day of SIU Spring Football practice

CARBONDALE (WSIL) -- SIU football took the field Wednesday.

It was the first of fifteen practices this spring.

And wouldn't you know, the first day of spring practice and there's snow flurries.

It was cold out at the stadium, but the team appeared locked in on day one.
