OGDEN, Utah (SIU Athletics) â€ Behind the late-game heroics of quarterback  and wide receiver , No. 14-ranked ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Illinois came-from-behind in dramatic fashion to stun No. 3 Weber State, 34-31, in the first round of the 2021 NCAA FCS playoffs.

The No. 14-ranked Salukis (6-3) trailed 31-27 with 5:25 left to play before Labanowitz led the Salukis on an 11 play, 75-yard drive that was capped off with an eight-yard, off-balance throw to the corner of the endzone on fourth down, finding Combs for the go-ahead score with 51 seconds to play in regulation.

"That's his second one," said SIU head coach  on Labanowitz's clutch throw. "When you look back on it, we'll have time to do that at the end. But, when you look back at it,  will be entrenched in Saluki football history in some of the biggest clutch throws. The one to Jerron (Rollins) against Northern Iowa and then that one today I mean, wow."

Weber State (5-1) managed to drive the ball down to the SIU 42-yard line with five seconds remaining before junior defensive lineman  sacked Wildcat quarterback Bronson Barron on the game's final play to seal the program's first postseason victory since 2009. The sack, the first of the day and first of Lindsey's career, couldn't have come at a better time. "(RaQuan) Lindsey, he always plays hard," said senior linebacker . "He's a big guy for us a strong guy. He's just a pass-rush specialist."

¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Illinois will now have its sights set on a date with the No.1-seeded South Dakota State Jackrabbits in the quarterfinals next weekend in Brookings, South Dakota.
