.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River for the next
week, dropping near to below flood stage by April 21.

For the Big Muddy River...including Plumfield, Murphysboro...
Moderate flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

- At 11:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 25.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late Sunday evening and continue falling to 19.6 feet Monday,
April 21.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Local McDonald's to thank healthcare workers this week with free drink

(WSIL) -- Local McDonald’s restaurants will celebrate area healthcare workers by offering a FREE beverage of choice from March 14-18 to any healthcare worker in the drive-thru.

The goal is to celebrate the efforts of local healthcare workers during the pandemic. 

“We can count on our healthcare heroes to be there for us, even during the toughest of times� said Michael Moreland, local McDonald’s Owner/Operator. 

To redeem, healthcare workers must show a valid healthcare ID Badge when ordering in the drive-thru. No purchase necessary. Hours may vary by location.
