December 20th Evening Weather with Meteorologist Jacie Brianne
CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- After a bitter cold and cloudy end to the week, sunshine will be a welcomed sight through the weekend. Clouds should begin to break up overnight. However, it will be very cold, lows will dip into the low 20s by Saturday morning.

Both Saturday and Sunday will be chilly but quiet. It won't be a bad weekend for anyone trying to finish last minute errands ahead of the holiday. Dry conditions with plenty of sunshine are expected. The catch is that temperatures will remain below average. Highs Saturday will top out in the upper 30s, followed by the low 40s Sunday.
As we head into next week, closer to the holiday, a warmer and wetter pattern will settle in. High temperatures by Christmas Eve will rise back into the upper 40s, with highs in the low 50s on Christmas Day. Off and on rain chances will accompany the warm-up. The first chance for showers will kick off late Monday. Hang on to the umbrellas.
