...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping below
flood stage at Plumfield Sunday morning, and at Murphysboro Tuesday
morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

- At 10:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 21.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late tomorrow morning.

Temperatures

Carterville IL. (WSIL) -- Another day filled with sunshine across the area. But it was certainly feeling more like fall as we stayed fairly chilly regardless of the sunshine. High temperatures stayed in the upper 50s for most today. A slight breeze from the NE could be felt around 5 - 10 mph.

As we progress through the evening we should start to see more cloud cover moving in from the south and west. This should help insulate our area and keep lows a bit warmer in the low 40s. Tomorrow we will be mostly cloudy as we await a borderline washout of a day. Make sure you keep the rain gear close to you all day tomorrow.
