(WSIL) -- Health departments in southern Illinois are reporting 37 new cases of the virus Sunday with 11 of those cases being individuals in their teens or younger.
Those cases span across Franklin, Jackson, Saline, White and Williamson counties.
Franklin County:
- Females: One child under 10, one in their 60’s, and one in their 70’s
- Males: Four children under 10, one child over 10, one in their 20’s, and one in their 70’s
To date there have been 185 laboratory confirmed positives in Franklin county of COVID-19 including one death. Of these positive cases, 86 have recovered.
Jackson:
- Females: One in her 20's, one in her 30's, three in their 40's, and one in her 50's
- Males: Two preteen, one teen, and one in his 40's
According to the health department, the county has had 718 confirmed cases to date, including 19 related deaths. Health officials add that 12 individuals were released from isolation today, bringing total released to 597. Currently, 102 cases remain active.
Saline County:
- Male: One in his 60’s, at home and in isolation
To date, Saline County has had a total of 131 lab confirmed positives, including two deaths.
White County:
- Female: One in her teens, case status in progress
- Male: One in his 40’s, at home and in isolation
According to the Egyptian Health Department, White County has had a total of 72 lab-confirmed positives.
Williamson County:
- Females: One teenager, four in their 20’s, one in their 30’s, one in their 50’s, two in their 60’s and two in their 70’s
- Males: One in their 20’s, one in their 30’s, and one in their 40’s
To date, there have been a total of 416 laboratory confirmed positives in Williamson county including five deaths. Of these positive cases, 213 have
recovered.
Illinois Department of Public Health:
Health officials announced 1,382 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease including 8 additional confirmed deaths.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 194,080 cases, including 7,636 deaths, in 102 counties in Illinois.
