ALTO PASS (WSIL) -- In-person Easter service is back at Bald Knob Cross of Peace this year after having to move online last year due to the pandemic.
Things will be a "little different to follow COVID-19 guielines, but the venue offers plenty of space to social distance and respect mitigation measures.
Inspirational speakers, music and prayer starts at dawn with the making for a dramatic backdrop as the sun rises attracting hundreds of visitors each year.
Out-going Executive Director Teresa Gilbert says, those who make it once, usually find a way of returning again.
"In some ways it's different for everyone, and yet there's a common thread, it's the celebration of our risen Lord," says Gilbert. "I just don't think there's anything else that matches being able to celebrate on a mountain top, at sunrise, on Easter morning."
The Welcome Center will remain closed through the event and guests are asked to wear a mask when called for.
The service is set to start at 6:30 a.m., and those attending are encouraged to dress warm and arrive early.
