FRANKLIN COUNTY, IL (WSIL) -- A beloved first responder in Franklin County has died.
John "Little John" Hampton, Jr., died Friday morning in Carbondale Memorial Hospital.
Hampton was the Chief Dispatcher at the West Frankfort Police Department and had worked with many agencies over the years.
News 3 WSIL spoke with Hampton's colleagues about Hampton's health battle.
Visitation for Hampton is set for Sunday from 5-9 p.m. There will be an Emergency Service Personnel Walk-thru at 4:45 p.m. at the .
Burial will be Monday at the Mulkeytown Cemetery.
