CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (WSIL) � UPDATE: The Amber Alert has been canceled. The child is safe and the suspect is in custody, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
ORIGINAL: An Amber Alert has been issued out of Cape Girardeau on Thursday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol issued the alert at around 9 p.m. on April 17.
The Amber Alert indicates the vehicle involved is a newer gray Nissan Sentra with Arkansas plates which read ACKRITE.
State police indicated the location is out of Cape Girardeau.
