CARBONDALE, Ill. -- One person was taken to jail after police found two loaded guns while responding to a disturbance call.
The Carbondale Police Department said officers responded to a report of someone with a gun during a dispute in the 900-block of East Grand Avenue at 10:25 p.m. on Thursday.
After officers got to the scene, they found a group of people arguing. The sound of a gunshot was heard near the location as well, police said.
Police later found two loaded guns in the area during their investigation.
Kaliyah D. Parker, 23 of Carbondale, was arrested for an Unlawful Use of a Weapon and No Firearm Owners Identification Card charges.
Parker was then taken to the Jackson County Jail.
The investigation continues.
