...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/
TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 108 expected.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Local teen shot and killed, suspect in custody

MINER, Mo. (WSIL) -- An incident in a southeast Missouri hotel ends with a Kentucky man in jail and a 19-year-old dead.

According to Miner Police three suspects were questioned after that teen was found shot forcing first responders to take life-saving measures.

The 19-year-old victim later died at Missouri Delta Medical Center. That person has yet to be identified

Officers arrested Robert Miller, 23, of Kentucky. He now faces multiple charges.
