Man Sentenced to 5 Life Sentences for Triple Homicide, Child Kidnapping Case

COLE COUNTY, Mo. -- A Williamsville, Missouri man was sentenced to five life sentences behind bars in connection to a triple murder and child kidnapping case from 2018 in Wayne County, Missouri.

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey announced Drew Atchison was served the five life sentences in a Cole County courtroom in connection to a triple homicide investigation involving two adults and their 17-month-old daughter.

“As a former prosecutor and now as Attorney General, I am personally committed to obtaining justice for victims, especially when it involves children,� said Attorney General Bailey. “I’m proud of the work my team did in this case to secure Missouri’s streets and to send the message that we will never stop in putting the bad guys behind bars.�

Attorney General Bailey stated the incident happened in January of 2018 when Atchison was accused of killing the three after he was told he couldn't stay there at the home.

The venue was changed from Wayne County to the Cole County Courthouse where Atchison later pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree murder, two counts of child kidnapping, three counts of armed criminal action and a tampering with a motor vehicle charge.

Atchison was sentenced to three life sentences for the murder charges, two life sentences for the child kidnapping charges, 75 years for the armed criminal action charges and seven years for the tampering with a motor vehicle charge.
