MCLEANSBORO, Ill. (WSIL) -- Authorities arrested Tristin Cain, a 27-year-old from McLeansboro, on charges of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child under 13.
The arrest came after a complaint was filed on May 23, when police reported a juvenile disclosed being molested by a family member. Law enforcement said they worked with the Department of Children and Family Services and the Amy Schulz Child Advocacy Center and identified a second victim.
McLeansboro police said an interview with Cain on May 28 reportedly confirmed the accusations, leading to his arrest. Cain is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
Officials are not releasing further details to protect the victims' privacy.
