CARBONDALE (WSIL) -- One person was injured during a shooting in Carbondale early Monday morning.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting around 3:30 a.m. in the 300 block of South Birchlane Driver.
Officers learned several shots were fired from a vehicle, which struck a victim and parked cars.
The victim was taken to Memorial Hospital and treated for a non-life threatening injury.
The suspect, 27-year-old Shai A. Schauf of Marion, was later identified and arrested at his home.
He now faces aggravated battery with a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and criminal damage to property charges. He was taken to the Jackson County jail.
