...Patchy, Locally Dense Fog Likely Early This Morning...

A humid air mass and light winds will make fog development likely
this morning, especially in low-lying areas and places which
received rainfall over the past 24 hours. Visibility's may drop
to 1/4 mile in some places. Motorists should exercise caution and
be prepared for sudden changes in visibility over short distances.
Remember to slow down, use your low-beam headlights, and allow
extra time to reach your destination.

The fog will gradually mix out by 8 AM. Stay tuned to NOAA all
hazards weather radio and your local media for the latest updates.

One person injured, suspect in custody after Cape Girardeau shooting

CAPE GIRARDEAU (WSIL) -- Cape Girardeau Police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured.

Just before 10:30 a.m. Friday, Cape officers were dispatched to the area of Cape Meadows for a report of a shooting.

Officers found a man who was struck in the lower torso by gunfire. An officer administered medical care, through the use of a tourniquet, and received a description of the suspect.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Additional offers located the suspect leaving the area and immediately arrested him.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
