Two arrested after traffic stop in Franklin County on Christmas Eve

WEST CITY, Ill. (WSIL) -- Two people were arrested and face drug charges after a traffic stop in Franklin County on Christmas Eve.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said one of their deputies pulled over a vehicle on December 24 at 10:50 p.m. along State Highway 14, just west of West City.

The sheriff's office said K9 Vader conducted a sniff test around the vehicle and indicated a positive alert.

The two in the vehicle were identified Anthony Boykin, 25 of Benton and Kevin Kondoudis, 55 of Bunkner.

Boykin was found to have firearm ammunition on him and Kondoudis was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, a glass smoking pipe and a hypodermic syringe, the sheriff's office stated.

Both were then arrested and taken to the Franklin County Jail.

Kevin Kondoudis

  • Possession of Methamphetamine (Class 3 Felony)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor)
