GOREVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) -- A 15-mile stretch of I-57 will close in both directions starting on Thursday night.
The Illinois Department of Transportation said they will close I-57 between exit 30 and exit 45 starting at 7 p.m. on April 10, and will reopen by 7 a.m. on April 11.
The road closure will be for emergency guardrail and pavement repairs.
A posted detour will also be in place to direct southbound traffic to eastbound I-24. Northbound traffic on I-57 will be directed to travel to Illinois 146 at exit 30.
