BENTON, Ill. -- The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who is said to be mentally disabled.
The sheriff's office alerted the public at 6:02 p.m., on Thursday, May 30, stating they are looking for Michael D. Motsinger, 42 of Benton, Illinois.
In an update on the afternoon of June 4, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office said they have received information Mr. Motsinger may be in Carbondale. Police in Carbondale have been notified of this information as well.
Motsinger last spoke family on Sunday, May 26, and has not had any contact with any family since, authorities said.
The sheriff's office also said Motsinger is a registered sexual predator and is currently non-compliant in Franklin County.
