MURPHYSBORO, Ill. (WSIL) -- A burn ban is in effect for those in the Murphysboro Township, Pomona Township and Somerset Township through March 15.
The Murphysboro Pomona Somerset Fire Protection District issued the burn ban on March 11 through March 15.
The windy conditions could spread a fire easily, making it more of a dangerous potential. Firefighters have already seen increased calls for fires across the region the past several days.
