WEST FRANKFORT, Ill. -- Authorities are informing the public about a crash in West Frankfort and urging motorists to avoid the area.
The Franklin County Emergency Management Agency alerted the public at 5:10 p.m. on Friday about a traffic crash at the intersection of State Highway 149 (Main Street) and Jefferson Street in West Frankfort.
The crash has blocked the roadway and authorities are informing people to avoid the area and take alternative routes around the crash site.
The intersection is expected to remain closed for the next three hours, through around 8 p.m.
