HARRISBURG, Ill. (WSIL) -- More than a hundred students in need will soon receive some new clothing, thanks to a local nonprofit organization.

Personnel with the Egyptian Health Department, area schools and the Fowler Bonan Foundation recently shopped and purchased clothing and shoes for low income children throughout southern Illinois through the Clothes for SI Kids initiative.

This recent particular shopping trip will help more than 100 students from communities in Mt. Vernon, Carmi, Carrier Mills, Eldorado, Fairfield, Galatia, Harrisburg, McLeansboro, Norris City and Vienna.

The Fowler Bonan Foundation recently received a referral from an area agency to help area school kids with some clothing items.

The organization started this program 23 years ago and have helped thousands of area children in need since this time.
