ENERGY, Ill. (WSIL) -- A crash involving three vehicles closed down a portion of westbound Highway 13 at the intersection of Highway 148 on Monday morning.
The Herrin Fire Department said two of the vehicles had major damage. One person was also extricated from a vehicle by firefighters.
Multiple crews were on scene around 8:30 a.m. to aid those involved in the crash, along with directing traffic and helping cleanup the debris.
On scene was the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, United Medical Response, Herrin Fire Rescue, Williamson County Fire Protection District and Carterville Fire Department.
One person was taken to a local hospital by United Medical Response.
