WEST FRANKFORT, Ill. (WSIL) -- The Illinois State Fire Marshal is investigating a house fire that happened in West Frankfort over the weekend.
Firefighters responded to a home on the 700 block of St. Louis Street just after noon Saturday.
Three people were in the basement when the fire started but all got out safely according to West Frankfort Fire Chief Derek Sailliez. There was one dog that was unaccounted for.
The homeowner told News 3 that she hadn't been at her home because the power was out. Sailliez says the fire marshal was called to investigate and estimates the report to be done by the end of the week.
