Paving operations in Marion, Kentucky

MARION, Ky. (WSIL) -- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) said crews are still working in Marion on road projects which are causing lane and parking restrictions.

The work originally started on Wednesday, June 11, in Crittenden County.

Crews are continuing milling and paving operations in three areas of Marion. The locations include KY 91 from the U.S. 60/KY 91 intersection to Deer Run Lane, U.S. 60/Main Street from E. Gum Street to Second Street, and KY 981/Old Salem Road between U.S. 60 and KY 91.

On June 25, KYTC asked motorists to avoid parking on the street between Bellville and Depot Streets while crews continue paving operations.

Motorists should watch for signage and flaggers directing traffic to shift into the open lane. Appropriate caution is required.

Rogers Group is the prime contractor for the project, which is expected to be completed by June 30, weather permitting.
