MAYFIELD, Ky. (WSIL) -- The Graves County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle accident on KY 121 North near Fred Road on April 17, 2025.
The sheriff's office said Kaleb Byars, a 16-year-old from Dexter, Ky., fell asleep while driving southbound in a 2019 Ford Edge. Authorities reported Byars crossed into the northbound lane, left the road, and hit several trees and an embankment before the vehicle rolled over, coming to rest on its passenger side.
Byars was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center with minor injuries. Chief Deputy Jeremy Prince led the investigation, with assistance from Sgt. Garret Clark and local emergency services.
