MURRAY, Ky. (WSIL) -- Two people were injured after a three-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in Calloway County on Saturday.
Kentucky State Police reported a multi-vehicle crash which closed US Highway 641 on Saturday, which resulted in one person with serious injuries and another with minor injuries.
State police said a 22-year-old from Madison, West Virginia, was driving a 2019 Kawasaki motorcycle along Poor Farm Road at the intersection of US-641, when he was hit by a 2016 Ford Explorer going south, driven by a 44-year-old from Hardin, Kentucky.
KSP said the motorcycle continued across the median and in northbound traffic where it collided with a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 74-year-old from Hampton, Kentucky.
The motorcycle driver was later flown out to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The 44-year-old was taken to the Murray-Calloway County Hospital with minor injures. The driver of the Silverado did not have any reported injuries.
The crash is still under investigation by the Kentucky State Police. Assisting KSP on the scene was the Calloway County Sheriff's Office, Calloway County Fire-Rescue, Murray-Calloway EMS and AirEvac.
