CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, Mo. -- A 53-year-old was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after the ATV he was driving crashed.
Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) said the crash happened along County Road 514 about 12 miles north of Fruitland on some private property on February 18, at 5:30 p.m.
Michael Wheeler, 53 of Cape Girardeau, was reportedly driving a 2020 Polaris RZR when the driver lost control and the vehicle overturned.
Wheeler was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center with serious injuries.
MSHP stated Wheeler was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.
