CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- The next chance for rain for our area looks to be Sunday evening. This generally will be a quick but widespread rain for the area. This rain should impact the evening commute for a lot of people in the viewing area, especially the further south and west you live. The rain will generally last through the overnight so good sleeping weather! Since the fast nature of the rain, we expect rainfall amounts to be generally light with a half an inch to an inch of rain for many areas.

Temperatures should be plenty warm with upper 50s for both Sunday and Monday. Monday we stay cloudy but mainly dry and Tuesday we could see a few showers as colder air filters in. Highs Tuesday will remain in the 40s and continue to drop towards mid week as another cold airmass settles in.
