Rend Lake collecting live Christmas trees

(WSIL) -- Looking for something to do with your live Christmas tree once it is down?

Rend Lake is collecting trees once again this year. 

You can drop off trees at various locations around Rend Lake, Mt. Vernon and Marion. 

The trees will be collected and dropped in the lake to replenish fish attractors, resulting in event better fishing in the future.
