POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (WSIL) -- Crews are cleaning up after storms rolled across southeast Missouri Sunday.

The Poplar Bluff area was one of the hardest hit with wind gusts of more than 60 miles per hour.

The straight-line wind knocked down trees and power lines.

At one location, a tree was uprooted and fell through the back of the home, trapping a young girl inside.

Emergency crews cut their way in and removed debris so the girl could crawl out. Fire officials tell News 3 the girl was not injured.
