Suspect found in Illinois in connection to a Paducah shooting investigation

PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) � Saturday, April 19th, Paducah Police say they responded to a disturbance in an alley on the 2400 block of Ohio St. around 2 p.m. 

Police said they learned two groups had started arguing when a man, identified as Cortez Gray, fired over 10 rounds at the other group. 

While on scene, officers reported they discovered another man, Darrian Scarbrough, hid a bag in a carport that contained a gun, marijuana, and Xanax. 

Police say further investigation revealed that Dorian Lewis also fired a gun during the argument. 

Paducah Police say that both Gray and Scarbrough are convicted felons and are not allowed to have a gun. 

Officers arrested both Scarbrough and Lewis, yet Gray is still at large. 

Authorities say Gray left the scene before officers arrived. 

Now, they're asking for the public's help in locating Gray. 

UPDATE:

On May 5th, Paducah Police say Cortez Gray was located in Kankakee, Illinois and arrested.  

Gray is currently in the Jerome Combs Detention Center. He faces charges of 1st degree wanton endangerment and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. 

Scarbrough and Gray were booked into the McCracken County Jail. 

Scarbrough is facing charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, 3rd degree trafficking of a controlled substance, possession of a gun, and disposition of a firearm. 

Lewis faces a charge of 1st degree wanton endangerment.
